A Singapore-based architecture and design writer and editor, curious about and addicted to wonder and wandering in all forms.
She first considered an education in architecture after specialising in set design for the Theatre Studies and Drama subject during her GCE ‘A’ Levels. After graduating with a Master of Architecture at the National University of Singapore, she honed her design skills under the tutelage of respected and experimental local architect Yip Yuen Hong of ipli Architects.
An attraction to the written word since young lured her to join Cubes magazine four years later. Within two years, she rose to become deputy editor for the Singapore-based architecture and design magazine by Indesign Media Asia, sourcing for, curating and creating content, as well as building awareness of the local creative scene. She was also highly involved in steering the magazine to become an architecture-centric B-to-B publication widely read and respected by the local and regional architecture and design community. In this role, she has interviewed some of the industry’s most respected designers and architects and covered reputable design fairs, such as the Milan Design Fair, Maison & Objet Singapore and Singapore Indesign. After four years with the magazine, she is now pursuing a freelance writing and editing career, focusing on the topics of architecture, design, culture and art.
She has contributed to a wide range of international and local publications and design websites. These include Vogue Living Australia, Sleeper, Habitus, Surface Asia, Robb Report Singapore, The U Press, Cubes, D+A Magazine, Indesignlive.sg, and Habitusliving.com.sg.
